UTRGV Research Garden and Greenhouse

You can find our greenhouse and certified organic garden at the North East wing near the UTRGV Child Development Center. We maintain 7,500 sq. ft of land dedicated to agroecological research and teaching students how to grow their own food.

UTRGV Community Garden

"Adopt-a-Bed Day" occurs at the beginning of each season and is open to student and staff organizations to join us at the community garden for a short lesson on gardening and the chance to plant their own bed to tend for the rest of the semester. We involve the community as much a possible, ask us about our raised bed availability!

Hub of Prosperity Farm

We are proud to have the first cooperative farm in the city of Edinburg with United First Methodist Church where students conduct sustainable agriculture research and beginning farmers are provided with tools, land and utilities to make their dreams a reality. Ask us about our quart-acre plots available!
